Carnival Cruise Line has revealed it will be bringing a new ship Down Under.
The Costa Luminosa will join the Carnival fleet in September, and will start operations as the Carnival Luminosa. The ship will start sailing from Brisbane later this year, and continue through until April 2023.
Over the next few months, Carnival will implement some modest updates to the Luminosa after its changeover from the Costa cruise line ahead of the start-up of its November service. The ship will not initially have all of the Fun Ship 2.0-branded spaces that are seen across the Carnival fleet.
Carnival will sail a variety of itineraries that will initially include visits to Australian favourites such as the Great Barrier Reef and Airlie Beach and, as destinations open, ports of call such as Noumea and Lifou Isle in New Caledonia, Port Vila and Mystery Island in Vanuatu, as as well as Papua New Guinea and Fiji.
