The world’s largest travel platform, Tripadvisor, is launching a membership program for travellers. It aims to give holidaymakers better deals, more flexibility and improved guest experiences – but the difference is you’ll have to pay.
Tripadvisor Plus launched this month in America and will come to Australia later this year. Tripadvisor members can view the service’s discounted room rates but they can only be booked by Plus subscribers.
“Tripadvisor Plus is a game changer for both travellers and hoteliers,” said Kanika Soni, Tripadvisor chief commercial officer.
“Travellers get to enjoy a memorable experience thanks to special perks and discounts – and hotels have a brand-new way to attract valuable guests while avoiding hefty third-party commissions.”
The US annual membership fee is US$99. Australian pricing is yet to be announced.
