The rich soils of the Southern Highlands are known to result in great cool-climate wines and produce, but what maybe doesn’t get enough credit is their potatoes.
The Robertson Potato Festival is looking to change that. The potato-growing town of Robertson, also home to the Big Potato, will be hosting the event at Robertson Showgrounds with plenty of activities on offer.
There will be live cooking demonstrations from local chefs, including ‘Fast’ Ed Halmagyi, competitions like the potato sack catwalk strutting with big prizes on offer, competitive potato peeling and mashing for the whole family to get stuck into and live entertainment from local musicians and artists, including a potato-themed play.
The festival is on April 30 and May 1, 2022.
