Intrepid Travel has relaunched its food-themed trips and several have a special focus on plant-based experiences. The Real Food Adventure guided tours will return to such destinations as Mexico, India and Vietnam and launch new itineraries in South Korea, the Balkans, and Israel and Palestine.
South Korea highlights include a visit to the labyrinthian Gwangjang market in Seoul (famously featured in the Netflix series Street Food) and a temple stay in the ancient capital of Gyeongju with a plant-based dinner, chanting meditation and an optional martial arts class.
In Mexico, there’s fresh seafood on the beach and a taco crawl, while in Vietnam, banh xeo and lantern-lit streets in Hoi An feature, as well as the pulsating markets of Ho Chi Minh City and a dragon-boat cruise on the Perfume River with a special lunch stop for a plant-based Buddhist meal in a pagoda.
