Looking for a holiday that won’t leave an environmental footprint?
? The Nelson Regional Development Agency (NRDA), which promotes the lush region of Nelson Tasman in the top of New Zealand’s South Island, has designed a four-day, three-night Zero Carbon itinerary. All businesses included in the holiday plan are Zero Carbon or Climate Positive certified.
Highlights include indulgent chocolate and wine tours, a visit to NZ’s first climate-positive pub, spotting seals while sea kayaking, abseiling down waterfalls in the Torrent River and roasting peanuts at Pic’s Peanut Butter World. You’ll enjoy all of this and plenty more all while eating at spectacular eco-eateries and resting your head in eco-accommodation.
NRDA Visitor Destination Manager Gisela Purcell said: “We are so proud of many of our local businesses who are focused on minimising their environmental impact and are taking the initiative to become zero carbon certified, along with the regional collaboration needed to get this off the ground.”
