Air New Zealand has launched a new safety video following the opening of their international borders on 1 May.
The airline is well known for their epic in-flight safety videos and the newest doesn’t disappoint.
Joining the ranks of videos featuring Betty White and the All Blacks rugby team or playing off the Lord of the Rings franchise and even Men in Black’s “Safety Defenders”, this safety video tells the story of Tiaki, a man who boards a flight and takes off on an adventure across Aotearoa.
Far more sentimental than its predecessors, the video aims to educate visitors about Maori culture and to encourage them to act as guardians of the country for their stay.
Jeremy O’Brien, Air New Zealand GM of brand and marketing, said, “Our safety videos are world renowned and through them, we have an opportunity to educate and inspire ourselves, our customers and Aotearoa on the importance of Tiaki and everything it stands for. It’s about being good hosts, and good visitors.”
