Travel bloggers and adventurers Tracy and Rob Morris, known as the Blonde Nomads, are currently road-tripping around the New South Wales Riverina with their two children, eight-year-old Marli and five-year-old Ziggy. So far they’ve been to Gundagai, Narrandera and Darlington Point. They tell explore about their favourites.
“The Narrandera Nature Reserve has been a huge highlight for us. We were super excited to spot two koalas right on the waters’ edge.
“We have also loved seeing the beautiful, painted water towers and silos along the way. Coming from the coast, it’s a real treat to see these – the details are amazing.
“Another amazing place is the Altina Wildlife Park in Darlington Point. It has some amazing animals from all over the world. We were taken around the zoo by Carmen the Clydesdale in a horse-drawn cart and given a guided presentation with loads of information about each species.
“What makes this drive, trip and area so special is you can’t go past the good old country hospitality. Everyone is so welcoming and happy.”
