South Australia is first out of the box with special deals, stay and dining packages off the back of the Federal Government’s support initiatives including discounted air fares to help the tourism industry across the country.
Within hours of the Federal Government’s offer of cheap flights which begins on April 1, the SA Tourism Commission put together some exceptional stay packages and tickets for festivals, theatre performances and high-flying circus shows.
There’s a list of the top five “most wishlisted Airbnbs” available across the state, including eco pods, homes with outdoor baths and panoramic views – all at affordable prices.
For instance, there’s the Tiny House Farm escape in Adelaide Hills which sleeps two starting from $410 per night; an architectural earth house, also in Adelaide Hills which sleeps two from $195 per night and a cosy rusty cottage in Adelaide Hills which sleeps four from $320 per night.
SA has also named 2021 as the Year of South Australian Wine. For wine buffs, a special program of wine experience and events has been put together covering 18 wine regions.
“Wine tourism is a crucial segment of South Australia’s visitor economy and welcoming interstate travellers to South Australia in support of our wine and tourism is a must. With such an array of experiences in Adelaide and regional South Australia, we really have something for everyone and there is no better time to explore our great state,” said Rodney Harrex, SATC chief executive.
Qantas Group chief customer officer, Stephanie Tully has introduced more flexibility on new bookings from $169 one way when booking return economy fares to Kangaroo Valley, Whyalla, Mount Gambier and Port Lincoln from Sydney.
