Virgin Australia has started selling airfares to Fiji, with daily flights from Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne commencing from late December 2021.
Sydney or Brisbane to Nadi will kick off from December 23 and flights from Melbourne will start the next day.
The first-day fares start are priced from a modest $334 for Economy lite but prices fluctuate over the following weeks. Expect to pay $320-$390 for a one-way fare.
Qantas and Fiji Airways have also scheduled flights starting in December, with all signs pointing positively for Australians to be back enjoying the Fijian sun this year.
Before COVID, Australians account for nearly half of tourist visits to Fiji, meaning the returning of Aussies to their shores will be a huge boost for their travel industry.
Fiji is on track to have vaccinated 80 per cent of its eligible population by the beginning of November, which gives travellers less to worry about and hopefully points towards no home quarantine on return.
