Luxury hotel brand Waldorf Astoria will be finding its first Australian home – in Circular Quay, Sydney.
The towering 28-storey hotel will look over Sydney Cove, the Opera House and Harbour Bridge as part of the multibillion-dollar development, One Circular Quay.
Donning the address of 1 Alfred Street, the 179-room, 41-suite hotel will be designed by Tokyo firm Kengo Kuma and Associates.
Waldorf Astoria has previously boosted its presence in the Asia-Pacific market with properties in the Maldives, Bangkok, Shanghai and Beijing.
The new hotel is slated for early 2025 and follows several new luxury arrivals in Sydney, with the opening of Crown Sydney recently and Marriott’s W Sydney in Darling Harbour scheduled for May 2023.
