Do not be fooled by its desert-like landscape as it has a lot of hidden wildlife if one looks closely.
It also has a rich aboriginal heritage and will appeal to history buffs and geologists.
This largest mountain range in Australia is a 5-and-a-half-hour drive from Adelaide and its stunning landscape of rocky gorges and jagged peaks are definitely worth a visit.
