From black opals to fine red wines, the Orana region stretches from the hilly western slopes of the Warrumbungle Ranges in the east, to the flat plains in the west and north to the Queensland border.

Major towns include Mudgee, Bourke, Dubbo, Gilgandra, Narromine, Walgett, Warren and Warrumbungle.
