Port Broughton holds the best reputation for fishing – the famous blue swimmer crab, King George whiting, garfish and more can be found here. Its sheltered bay allows fishing enthusiasts to fish there any time of the year.
Spot emus, kangaroos and tammar wallabies at Dhilba Guuranda-Innes National Park or explore the ghost town of Inneston.
Dive in the Wandara Reef, the largest shellfish restoration reef in the Gulf St Vincent. Fishing and boating are also permitted.
History buffs can learn more about the rich copper mining history of Yorke at the Moonta Mines – a Cornish mining village that flourished in the late 1800s.

Most accommodations in Yorke Peninsula come with outdoor barbeque facilities where you cook your catch of the day, or get fresh seafood from Gill Fisheries (open only on Fridays and Saturdays) for your barbeque.
The Dalrymple Hotel serves one of the region’s best fish and chips. It comes with tartare sauce and a lemon wedge, and you can also enjoy it in a takeaway cone.
If seafood is not for you, head to Coopers Alehouse Wallaroo and enjoy wood-oven pizza and their extensive range of beers and ciders.
Cornish pasties are a must-try at the Cornish Kitchen Moonta. The local bakery serves up savoury goods like pies and sausage rolls and remains a popular favourite among both locals and tourists.
