As travel to New Zealand resumes, the country’s national carrier has unveiled a new menu showcasing Aotearoa on a plate for its Business Premier customers.
Air New Zealand’s menu will be rolled out on all long-haul international routes from October.
The menu showcases local ingredients such as Southland lamb prosciutto, Hawke’s Bay extra virgin olive oil and manuka-smoked free-range chicken from the Waikato District.
To welcome customers to the new dining experience, the airline has also introduced a sampler of appetiser’s featuring local ingredients, to be served after take-off.
Air New Zealand’s customer general manager, Leeanne Langridge, said: “We found our Premium customers wanted more choice in the air, so we’ve added a build-your-own component to the main meal service.
“Customers can add the likes of seared salmon from Marlborough, free-range chicken from Waikato or bacon for greater protein, or streamed green vegetables or fresh, crisp salads picked straight from orchards and fields in Gisborne, Waikato or the Manawatu.”
