Judith Ingram, from Selby in the Dandenong Ranges is the winner of the Explore and QT Hotels competition. After a challenging year, it’s a welcome surprise for her and her husband.
She’s planning to go to Sydney because her husband loves the Sydney Swans and she hopes to time the trip so that her husband can catch a game.

“And we’ve got extended family in the Blue Mountains. We love Sydney and it’s been a year since we’ve been there.
“My father’s about to turn 90 this year so the thought of being able to see my parents is so special.”
She and her husband have had a tough year. In April her husband was driving home from the gym when he had a cardiac arrest. He had no history and luckily a police car and an ambulance were close by at the time.
Fortunately nobody was hurt and he was lucky because only ten percent survive that.
“We’re incredibly blessed but we haven’t been able to celebrate.
“We did go up (to Sydney) at Christmas last year but Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews announced that if we didn’t go back immediately we’d be locked out so it’s been challenging,” she said.
She’s planning another trip up to Sydney in a couple of weeks but her husband won’t be joining her.
“But when we go to the beautiful hotel in Sydney he can come,” she concluded.
