Celebrity Cruises is bringing its ground-breaking ship, the Celebrity Edge, Down Under.
The Edge sports the hottest ship design in cruise – even Gwyneth Paltrow has lent her brand Goop to the project.
On board, guests will find an array of technological toys, including a sensory garden, opulent suites and the “magic carpet” – a landing on the exterior of the ship which transforms into a bar, restaurant and viewing platform depending on the level.
Celebrity Edge will be sailing 12 itineraries across Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific from December 2023 to April 2024.
Highlights include overnight opportunities in Cairns, Auckland and Hobart, a new port visiting Kangaroo Island, exploring New Zealand’s North and South Islands and sun-drenched excursions to New Caledonia, Vanuatu and Mystery Island.
Tim Jones, Celebrity Cruises’ managing director for Australia, said: “This is a moment of real celebration for Australian travellers and Celebrity Cruises. Celebrity Edge is a class of her own with a plethora of firsts on board.”
“We are not offering old, stuffy luxury – instead our guests will enjoy a rich and contemporary experience and a great level of service. We have made luxury more accessible to more people. Instead of old luxury, which tends to exclude, we have broken the small ship hold on luxury as we are able to offer a luxurious experience to Celebrity Edge’s 3000 passengers.”
