We said last week the hotel market is getting hot for bargains. Now Accor, Australia’s biggest hotel chain, is taking on the campers with its Ibis Budget 48-hour sale. Next Friday its lowest prices ever will debut: from $48 per room, per night.
The move is the perfect counter to the Government’s budget flights, which threatens to send 800,000 Australians to places with no rooms at all.
All Ibis Budget hotels offer flexible cancellations and enhanced cleanliness standards, Sweet Bed by Ibis Budget and a healthy and hearty breakfast buffet. The hotels are located near major routes, airports and, increasingly, city centres.
Ajith Ratwatte, who manages the Darlinghurst Ibis – 10 minutes’ walk to Sydney CBD and next to once-naughty Kings Cross – says the value is incredible for families, student groups and corporates.
“You get everything from free wi-fi to an iron, coffee-maker and ensuite right in the heart of the city,” he said.
