Move over the Titanic pose at the bow of a majestic ship. If you really want to feel the breeze in your hair when at sea, sign up for the go-karting experience on Norwegian Viva's "speedway".
Spread across the top three decks of the ship (which will be launched in August this year with itineraries in the Mediterranean), the racing track will allow passengers to reach speeds of about 50 kilometres per hour.
There will be plenty of laidback ways to soak up the opulence of the ship, too - from an outdoor sculpture garden and overwater glass bridges to 11 different places to wine and dine.
Accommodating up to 3950 guests, the ship will feature 1646 staterooms, with state-of-the-art furnishings and well-appointed ensuites. But if you want to turn up the luxe factor, book one of the suites in Viva's Haven by Norwegian area, with access to the exclusive infinity pool overlooking the ship's wake and an outdoor spa with a glass-walled sauna.
