If you're heading to Australia's biggest cities this silly season, here are two drinking and dining establishments worthy of your must-visit list.
Located on the seventh floor of Kimpton Margot Sydney, Harper Rooftop Bar has just opened with bright-yellow booths, a soft-pink bar and a shimmering open-air swimming pool, which - while only open for hotel guests - makes for stellar Instagram shots whether you're staying at the hotel overnight or visiting just for drinks.

Meanwhile, over in the Victorian capital, one of Australia's most highly regarded restaurants, Vue de Monde, has just reopened after a significant refurb. Swank interiors and a brand-new 18-course menu from executive chef Hugh Allen are some of the things you can look forward to. Just don't forget to have a pre- or post-degustation drink at Lui Bar, which has also received a facelift. harperrooftopbar.com.au; vuedemonde.com.au
