Whether you're a fan of Trent Dalton's Boy Swallows Universe (the fastest-selling debut novel in Australian history) or the eponymous Netflix series, which has received rave reviews ("Incredible", screams a Sydney Morning Herald headline, accompanied by five stars), we have some sensational news for you.
Tourism and Events Queensland has created a 48-hour itinerary that'll take you to some key locations in both the book as well as the TV series. Head to Brisbane City Hall for a free guided Clock Tower Tour, where you won't only ride the city's oldest working cage lift, but can also see the giant analogue clock on the eighth floor - the very location where the book's 13-year-old protagonist Eli comes face to face with his arch nemesis in the story's nail-biting last chapter.
Just don't forget to book a table at Stanley Restaurant at Howard Smith Wharves. While the Cantonese eatery doesn't feature in the book or TV series, it's made it to the itinerary for reportedly being one of Dalton's favourites places to eat in the city. You never know, you may bump into him there. queensland.com
