Founded in 2021, UK-based Ambassador Cruise Line balances comfort and affordability with special provisions for solo travellers.
What it does best
Ambassador's child-free cruises cater primarily to 50-plus travellers with short European jaunts and longer itineraries including the 1200-passenger Ambition's inaugural round-the-world cruise. Rather than extravagant crystal chandeliers and multi-storey waterslides, the premium-value offering focuses on warm hospitality and onboard activities such as fitness and dance classes, quizzes and theatre performances. Single cabins, a welcome cocktail party and a dedicated activity program for solo guests help to make Ambassador especially appealing for unaccompanied travellers.
When is it coming to Australia?
Ambition will make its first stop in Australian waters in February 2024 before leaving in March to continue its epic global journey. There are four itineraries departing from Sydney (and another from Perth), ranging in length from 16 to 72 nights.
