Have you always wanted to visit the bucket-list Eastern European cities of Prague and Budapest, but never got around to it? A few stunning hotels are set to open in these locations soon, which may just inspire you to head there this year.
Leading the charge is the Czech Republic capital - best known for rust-red roofs, historic castles and fairytale bridges, the city will welcome W hotel in September, as well as reveal the multimillion-dollar transformation of Fairmont Golden in the second half of 2024. Both properties will boast contemporary interiors, with panoramic city views from guestrooms, and onsite bars and restaurants.
Over in the Hungarian capital, Kimpton BEM will raise the hospitality bar, too, when it opens in September. Housed in a 19th-century building, it's a short walk from the city's historic Castle District. Meanwhile, if you want to go off the beaten track in Eastern Europe, turn your gaze towards Poland, where Accor is opening properties in locations you may never have heard of - from Sanssouci Hotel & Spa in the storybook town of Karpacz to Movenpick in the historic city of Wroclaw. marriott.com; ihg.com; all.accor.com
