A new tropical haven to explore
An archipelago of more than 500 islands, with dense forests, pristine beaches and cerulean waters, Palau remains a mystery to many. But a new direct flight from Australia to the island nation in the western Pacific Ocean is about to change that. Starting May 21, Nauru Airlines will operate weekly flights (every Tuesday) between Brisbane and Koror. The current flight duration between these ports is 15 hours or more, with stopovers in countries such as China and Taiwan. But the new flight - with return economy fares from $999 - will reduce that to a mere six-hour journey. nauruair.com
