“Our favourite destination in Australia is Lord Howe Island, NSW. My husband James and I have been coming here for years – first as a couple and more recently with our four boys.
It was a favourite holiday spot for my family when I was growing up; we spent many happy summers holidaying at Pinetrees, bike riding, beachcombing and snorkelling to explore the reef. James and I opened Capella Lodge on Lord Howe as the first boutique property in the Baillie Lodges portfolio. These days we come whenever we can with the family for fishing and diving the world’s southernmost coral reef.
For 2022, we hope to get back to Nihi Sumba in Indonesia for surfing with the kids. We all love swimming and surfing. For James and me it will also be a trip back to our favourite health retreat, Aro Ha Wellness Retreat in New Zealand.
While our borders are closed it’s time to take that trip you’ve always dreamed about. Visit Uluru-Kata Tjuta (in style at Longitude 131) or experience the Kimberley or Great Barrier Reef.
We’re looking forward to opening a new-look Silky Oaks Lodge in Tropical North Queensland’s Daintree Rainforest at the end of this year, too.”
