LAZILY lounging poolside, a sensational cocktail in hand, you could be forgiven for thinking you're in Palm Springs. But you're at the brand-new Adelaide hotel, Alba, in South Terrace on the southern edge of the ever more rad city.
Launched last month with a crowd of politicians and local identities, the style of the four-star hotel combines art deco and coastal chic, with a major facelift on the tired old Chifley Hotel that once stood here.
There are 99 rooms, all about the same size, each with spacious private balconies - choose between views over the South Parklands or overseeing that gorgeous pool.
