Gorgeous rooms await at the Queensland capital's newest opening.
You may experience an unmistakable sense of space and serenity as you arrive at Amora Hotel Brisbane, which has just reopened in the city's CBD after a year-long $30 million face-lift. It may have something to do with the light-filled lobby and lashings of natural materials.
Or, perhaps, it's the Italian mandarin scent - with notes of amber, jasmine and patchouli - that fills the space. Upstairs in the 296 airy guest rooms, the theme continues, with a light palette of colours and pared-back wallpapers that add depth to the interiors without being jarring. Even the smallest rooms at the hotel are spacious, with 32 square metres of real estate, king-sized beds and large work desks.
But if you're in the mood to splash out, ask for one of the suites on the top two floors, with complimentary mini-bars and private balconies. And that's not all: an outdoor pool, a glamorous lobby bar (pictured) and modern Australian restaurant, Dapl, are also part of the appeal. amorahotels.com/brisbane
