It's that time on the cruising calendar when attention starts turning to the Mediterranean; and this year, to one ship in particular: Princess Cruises' sparkling new vessel, Sun Princess, which is set to make its debut within days.
With capacity for 4300 guests in 2150 cabins, the 21-deck, 345-metre-long ship will feature plenty of wow moments, starting with The Dome - an enormous glass-enclosed space, where you can lay by the pool during the day and enjoy gravity-defying acrobatic shows after dark.
A sense of sophistication will continue in the staterooms, too, with a light colour palette of neutrals and state-of-the-art furnishings, whether you're in an entry-level cabin or a luxurious suite. A range of adventures, such as Sea Breeze Rollglider, await families, while couples will love relaxing sanctuaries like the Wake Club (pictured), with sweeping sea views. European itineraries aboard the ship will range from seven- to 23-day long cruises, with the Med the focus of many. princess.com
